The largest bagpipe festival in the Rhodopes filled the Ilinden meadows with people from all over Bulgaria dressed in costumes and clothes with Bulgarian embroidery, BNR reported.
The goal of bagpipe playing is to preserve and promote folk creativity, to support the transmission of traditions in our folklore, to exchange experience between bagpipe players from all over the country, thus helping to preserve the specificity of the instrument.

Over 100 performers took part in the competition program of kaba and jura bagpipes.
"The most important thing is that what is happening will be here forever and this will preserve Bulgaria," said Academician Milcho Vassilev - chairman of the jury.
