The Pleven actor, poet, fiction writer and playwright Ilko Ilarionov died. He is also a long-time director of the Ivan Radoev Drama and Puppet Theater (DKT). in Pleven. This was announced by the Society of Pleven Writers on their Facebook page.
Ilko Ilarionov was born on September 30, 1954 in Pleven. He completed primary education at "Vasil Levski" school, and then secondary school at "Geo Milev" Mathematical High School. In 1978, he graduated from Prof. Nadezhda Seykova's acting class at NATFIZ "Krastyo Sarafov". He was assigned to the theater in Pleven as an actor and played for 13 years. There are over 30 leading roles on the Pleven theater stage. In 1991, he left the theater in order to, as he says, write plays. After two years, he started working as a dramatist in the puppet theater.
He has written more than 30 plays, performed on theater stages in Bulgaria and abroad. The more famous of them are "Cosmonauts", realized by the State Satirical Theater - Sofia, with the participation of Stoyanka Mutafova and Georgi Kaloyanchev in 2005, "A Plea to God" in 2003 in DKT "Ivan Radoev" - Pleven with Stoyanka Mutafova and Vasil Popov, "The Cool Band" in DKT "Ivan Radoev" - Pleven in 2004 and others.
Last year Ilarionov presented his collection of poems "I found you tomorrow".
