Bansko put a finale on the 27th edition of the jazz festival in the city with a performance by Alyun Wade and young talents from the festival's jazz academy, BTA reported.

The last, eighth festival night, gathered a huge crowd in the central square “Nikola Vaptsarov”, and concerts were held by the Indonesians from “Vertigong”, who also sang in Bulgarian, and the American trumpeter, jazz composer, producer and vocalist Tio Crocker.

In the twenty-seventh edition of the “Ban Jazz Festival” 135 performers from 18 countries participated in a total of 23 concerts. Twenty one daytime concerts with 45 participants from three countries were also part of the festival program.

The festival was officially closed by the mayor of Bansko, Stojcho Banenski, who thanked everyone involved in holding the music forum – employees of the Municipality, volunteers, local people and especially the Association "Festivals in Bulgaria", which are co-organizers of the festival. He also thanked the musicians "who gave us their talent". Banenski noted that once again jazz has shown that the beautiful power of music can unite and inspire. It showed us that music speaks a language that can be understood by people of any age and nationality, added the mayor of Bansko.

Having successfully determined this year's edition of the festival, the chairman of the Association “Festivals in Bulgaria” Iliana Shtereva - Ivanova. According to her, the festival is “growing” and it develops, new elements are added, which is well received by the audience. This year we opened the Alley of Jazz, the Jazz Academy for young talents is also very well received, foreign performers are extremely impressed by the high level we provide in terms of technical support, sound, musical instruments, Iliyana Shtereva told BTA – Ivanova.

We are already planning the next edition of the festival, which will take place from August 2 to 9, 2025, announced the mayor of Bansko, Stojcho Banenski. With an eye to the future and without forgetting the past, we move forward, said Iliana Shtereva – Ivanova. There is already clarity about the program of the festival for next year, and the preparation starts from the final of this year's edition, she pointed out.
