"We started to forget very easily. Over the years, I have to remember and work with thinking people. This can help us stay out of this chaos. This abhorrence of the political system was done at the time with the goal - to be in one cauldron and solve their own problems.
This was stated by the director of the Satirical Theater "Aleko Konstantinov" Kalin Sirmenov in the studio of "The Day ON AIR".
According to him, a moment may come when the Constitution will be changed and the threshold for entry into the National Assembly will drop from 4 to 2% in order for major political parties to enter.
"This day reminds me a lot of that time - they make elections without any effort to change this, to think about Bulgaria, what is the point of view of ordinary people. There are people in the circus doing their jobs. There is a maxim in the theater - if you watch a performance and imagine that you can't do it, you say "ah, what is this magic". And there is no magic here. Politicians made an effort to make society disgusted", comments Sarmenov.
On Bulgaria ON AIR, he emphasized that people don't even protest anymore. And we have previously broken Guinness World Records with 11 different protests in one day in the state. According to the director of Satire, the country needs good examples and heroes to form an opinion.
A new season of "Satiric Cabaret", which is an ironic wink at reality, is coming in the theater directed by Kalin Sirmenov.
"We will update it based on what happens. It's very difficult for me, I don't have a base to stand on, there's nothing done from the ground up to grab onto," said Sirmenov.
