Zendaya Reveals New Details About Euphoria's Highly Anticipated Third Season ;, confirming that the time jump will be a key part of the plot, FOCUS reported.
Zendaya dropped some exciting news about the upcoming season of "Euphoria" - the hit HBO drama will feature a time jump in its third installment.
The actress, who will reprise her role as Rue Bennett, confirmed the time jump while discussing the future of the series.
Based on creator Sam Levinson's own experience with drug addiction, "Euphoria" follows high school students in the fictional town of East Highland as they navigate love, relationships, losing loved ones, and addiction.
While Zendaya also serves as an executive producer on the series, she revealed that even she doesn't have a complete idea of what the new season will bring. Fans will have to stay tuned to see what unfolds in this exciting next chapter.
Speaking on Entertainment Weekly's The Awards podcast, the actress shared her excitement about following the characters' lives beyond high school.
"I don't know exactly what the season will look like, but I know the time jump is happening," she said.
"It will be amazing to see how everything that happened when the characters were in high school affects their adulthood and what they become in a much larger world. I too will be interested to see what happens."
The third season of "Euphoria" will finally begin filming in January after a series of delays, mainly due to the Hollywood strikes in 2023.
Zendaya, who also executive produces the show, recently made headlines for her role in the romantic sports drama "The Contenders" by Luca Guadagnino.
