In the heart of Europe, on the Brussels “Champs-z-Élysées“ in the stylish art cafe Louise 107, a group of Bulgarians talk about church history, the main dogmas and postulates of the Orthodox faith.

Lecturer, initiator and organizer is priest Stoyan Berbatov.

He takes care of our Church communities “St. Ivan Rilski“ in the city of Luxembourg and “St. Patr. Evtimii“ in the city of Hasselt, as well as the Bulgarian Orthodox Church Mission “St. Zlata Maglenska“ in Antwerp.

At the next meeting, Father Stoyan Berbatov explained the topic "Patriarch Photius of Constantinople and Rome's claims to primacy. The Bulgarian church question."

The listeners also learned the main differences in the teachings of the Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church. The conversations also pointed out the processes that led to the de facto fall of Rome from the One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

The factors that contributed to the Bulgarian Church remaining in the Byzantine cultural and religious tradition were also discussed in an active dialogue.

The participants in the meeting sought and received answers to many questions related to their personal perception of the biblical texts.

The conversations are held every month in the cozy atmosphere of the art cafe Luiza 107, where they will also take your order in Bulgarian.
