A real miracle happened in Germany – 66-year-old Alexandra Hildebrandt welcomed her tenth child into the world, becoming a national sensation. She claims that she conceived naturally, without the help of in vitro fertilization, which makes her story even more impressive, reports Ladyzone.
Little Philip was born by cesarean section in a hospital in Berlin on March 19 of this year. According to the happy mother, the baby is completely healthy and weighs 3.5 kilograms. Alexandra's family is more than large – she has nine more children, the eldest being 46 years old and the youngest – two.
The big family – mission and happiness
Alexandra believes that raising a large family is not just a joy, but also an important mission. “A large family is not just a wonderful thing – it is above all important for the proper upbringing of children“, she shared in an interview. Despite her dynamic everyday life as the CEO and Chairman of The Wall Museum at Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, she manages to combine her career with caring for children.
The reaction of her loved ones is more than positive – they support and encourage her. “I only receive positive feedback“, says Hildebrandt.
Secrets of youth and health
According to Alexandra, the key to her good health and her ability to give birth at 66 is an active lifestyle. "I eat very healthily, I swim regularly for an hour, I walk for two hours a day," she says. This discipline helps her maintain her tone and go through the pregnancy without complications.
Her obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Wolfgang Henrich, confirms that the pregnancy proceeded normally, although the risks increase with age. Hildebrandt has undergone eight caesarean sections, but still manages to give birth to a healthy child.
Rare, but not impossible cases
Giving birth to a child at an advanced age is rare, but not unprecedented. In November 2023, 70-year-old Safina Namukuaya from Uganda gave birth to twins through in vitro fertilization. Despite medical challenges, stories like Alexandra Hildebrandt's show that motherhood knows no age.
Her story is inspiring and proves that when there is a will, age is just a number. Alexandra continues to be a symbol of energy, courage, and boundless motherly love.
