The Bulgarian brand gaining popularity Karpov Premium Couture presented its first independent show in Plovdiv last weekend. The company showed sportswear made of high-quality fabrics, elegant evening dresses in golden and silver shades, everyday chiffon shirts and trousers with the current prints of cherries and strawberries.
A surprise of the evening was a special capsule collection, an idea of the journalist and editor-in-chief of “Filter“ Kristina Patrashkova, named “My French Self“. The highlight of the collection are white jackets, dresses, shorts and polka dot bustiers decorated with bright red ribbons, one of the emblems of Parisian chic.
The star of the show was Miss Bulgaria Rossi Ivanova, who also presented some of the outfits from the capsule collection. Karpov Premium Couture has been on the market for three years, but already has its loyal customers. The most valuable thing about the outfits is that they are made of high-quality fabrics, one of the main elements of sustainable fashion. The topic of the carbon footprint that industry causes on the planet is increasingly relevant and it is no coincidence that the biggest brands are creating their new collections guided by the idea of protecting nature. Karpov Premium Couture's clothes are handmade, which is an indispensable condition for high fashion.
The company's designer Sonya Karpov is the recipient of a special certificate from the Fashion Academy, which annually presents the “Golden Needle“ awards. The brand is about to present a new collection in Sofia on the eve of the graduation balls, when several dresses will be given away to girls graduating from high school.
Fashion enthusiasts in our country are pleased that there has been a recent revival of fashion life in the country, hoping that most designers will break away from the cliché of blindly following global trends and impose their own rules. It is eagerly anticipated that in May, world-renowned designer Vasil Petriyski will present his fashion show in Sofia for the first time in 30 years, combining global trends with Bulgarian traditions dating back to the years of the Bulgarian Renaissance.
