Isn't the fear that has paralyzed our society from the state mafia precisely because of people's lack of faith in God? Isn't it the material benefits for which they have totally ignored God's commandments - busy with survival and accumulating wealth, but also sins?

At Christmas, I think about our life. And more precisely, about the lack of God in it. Or at least of his commandments.
I think about how throughout the Transition we talked mainly about the economy, we compared ourselves by economic indicators, the success - both of the nation and of each person - was measured in monetary value. And it is like this to this day.
How far from God's work.
I often write that communism remained in the souls of Bulgarians, and the Soviet man as a mentality was reproduced. The most important reason - the lack of education that could educate free people. But no less important was the total absence of the covenants of Jesus Christ in our lives.
At least that's what I realized when I first became acquainted with Christianity in America. One of the pieces of advice I remembered was that a believer fears God and is not afraid of other people; those who do not believe in God are afraid of other people.
Isn't the fear that has paralyzed our society from the state mafia precisely because of people's lack of faith in God? Isn't it the material benefits for which they have totally ignored God's commandments - busy with survival and accumulating wealth, but also sins?
Catholicism may not be taught in schools because of their secular nature. But the philosophy of Christianity - for the Bulgarian ethnic group - should be mandatory. In developed Anglo-Saxon countries, this is not necessary to this extent, because their national mentality is based on the work ethic of Protestantism.
Simply put - we do not have a bright future as a nation without God's commandments becoming the main values again, as in the past - do not steal; do not lie …
And success through many personal efforts and hardships does not become the only one worthy of recognition.
