Three years of war. Three years of death. Three years of life in the reality of the new world, in which everyone takes what they want. Simply put - the 21st century. If under the previous US President Joe Biden, the war in Ukraine was seen as money and aid, under the new head of state Donald Trump, the interests of the US come first. “If we have billions, we will take them“, Trump clearly stated. He admitted that one day Ukraine “may become Russia”, or it may not. But he stressed that he would want to “return” all the money spent by the US government on Ukraine.
What is Russia's role
On February 24, 2022, Putin ordered a “military operation“ on the territory of Ukraine. The reason - according to him, is the protection of the Russian population in Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Lugansk. He annexed these areas on September 9, 2022. The quick war did not happen. Kiev did not fall in 3 days. "The bone" of Ukraine turned out to be hard and unbreakable. And so for three years. Many victims, many broken destinies, so that it was time for help from North Korea. But the new American President Donald Trump came, who vowed to end the war.
What is the role of Ukraine
In the eyes of the world, Ukraine is a victim of Russia's great aggression. Yes, history has a prehistory, but that is in the past. The fact is that we have a war. Europe, the USA, Canada, Japan are providing Ukraine with all kinds of support - humanitarian, but mostly military. And with the idea of helping Ukraine repel the aggressor. Yes, aid is aid, but is it adequate? Recently, Ukrainian Prof. Igor Zhaloba, who is a war veteran, told FACTI that at the beginning of the conflict, when the Ukrainian army had people - strong and quality men who know how to fight, the support for them at the front was not of the necessary quality and quantity to be at the level of the enemy. Three years later, Ukraine no longer has a living force that is relevant on the enemy's front. These are the facts. And this is also evident from the words of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, that it is time to put an end to this and talk about negotiations. What will the end of the war look like, who will take what, who will part with what, who will be squeezed out... We will see.
What is the role of the USA
The position of the USA in this conflict shows what it is to be a great power (country) that wants, that achieves its own not only as an observer, but also as a direct participant. Joe Biden's government provided loans to Ukraine, gave weapons, helped. Of course, this was disguised as concern for Ukraine. But how did the USA do this... Back in 2022, the Congress in Washington "awakened" a law from World War II, which is called "Lend & Lease". (b.r. - "Lend-Lease"). We have written about it, but we will only recall it figuratively. The USA provides weapons - tanks, missiles, air defense systems and whatever else is needed, for 100 billion dollars. The amount is approximate, to make it easier to calculate. In military operations, weapons and ammunition worth 40 billion dollars have been spent or destroyed. It is automatically excluded from the "lend-lease" deal. But the remaining 60 billion dollars are owed - they are leases.
Who gives what gifts to Ukraine
The EU helps Ukraine, the USA helps Ukraine, Canada helps Ukraine, etc. Money is voted, equipment is delivered. Everything necessary, but how and whether on time. This is interesting. In the USA, at the end of 2023, a debate flared up about new aid to Ukraine. The Senate delayed its decision. And what happened... Regular arms deliveries to Ukraine stopped, and Avdiivka fell!?
At the beginning of 2024, Ukraine received:
- Over 1,400 "Stinger" anti-aircraft systems
- Over 5,000 "Javelin" anti-tank systems
- Over 7,000 other anti-tank systems
- Hundreds of "Switchblade" tactical drones
- Four radars for tracking anti-artillery and unmanned aerial systems
- Four anti-mortar radar systems
- Armored highly mobile multi-purpose wheeled vehicles
- Over 50 million rounds of ammunition
- 45 thousand sets of body armor and helmets
- Laser-guided missile systems
- Unmanned aerial systems "Puma"
- Night vision devices, thermal imaging and communication systems, optics
- Commercial services for satellite images.
And all this happens under the "Lend-Lease" law
The concept of "Lend-Lease" gives the American president the authority to help any country WHOSE DEFENSE IS CONSIDERED VITAL TO THE USA.
The "Lend-Lease" law was adopted by the US Congress on March 11, 1941 and provides that the supplied technical materials (cars, military equipment, weapons, raw materials, etc.), destroyed, lost, but used during the war, are not subject to payment (Article 5).
The property delivered under "lend-lease", which after the end of the war is suitable for civilian use, to be paid in full or in part on the basis of INTEREST-FREE LOANS provided by the United States. When you have poured over 500 billion dollars in total so far (ed. – in Trump's words), billions will still remain as INTEREST-FREE LOANS. The loan is returned, right?
What Trump demanded
We return to the beginning of the material to recall what Donald Trump demanded. “We spend hundreds of billions of dollars. They may make a deal, they may not make a deal. They may become Russia one day, they may not become Russia, but our money is there and I want it back. I have already told them that I want the equivalent in RARE EARTH METALS, about 500 billion dollars. And they've actually already agreed to that, so at least we don't feel like fools," he told Fox News. Fools, right? There we go again.
Russia is sacrificing people to take territory. Ukraine is sacrificing people to keep territory. The US is just pouring money in. Widows don't cry for money, money doesn't bleed - right? But everything in the world revolves around money.
"Lend-lease" - it's simple, cleverly devised, and it works flawlessly. Whatever is left of/in Ukraine will be a loan - and that's how we got to the underground riches. "And they've already agreed," Trump says.
The US gives, but it will also take its share. And Europe, and Japan, and Canada with their billions in aid... This is what they call a new world order, because there is no "free lunch." Everything is "lending and borrowing."
