From today's brief - tighten your belts - as in poker - it's time to take off the cards. The sooner, the better. As I told you, don't rush to take everything that Trump and your team say about peace in Ukraine at face value.
The very fact that Trump is talking to Putin /not for the first time/ before talking to his nominal allies - means that transatlantic relations are greatly destabilized. Even in Canada, they are proposing, because of Trump's attacks, to invoke Article 4 of the NATO Charter - for mandatory consultations.

Every evil for a good - the core of Europe - the Weimar format /Great Britain, France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain/ plus - stated that they stand firmly behind Ukraine no matter what Trump does. And here we come to the most interesting part of the analysis - what can the USA and Europe rely on, and what can Ukraine do?
From domestic news - Sometimes in life you are only entitled to one try. This also applies to “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria“ (PPDB) - it is high time they tightened up and stopped making amateur mistakes. A clear definition of the pro-Peev forces in parliament is needed - those who are defending him from investigation, including his mother.
This was exactly Slavi Trifonov's mission - to build popularity through the chalga, and then to cash in on it in politics. Similar to the notorious "skull cards" from the beginning of the transition, he suddenly radicalized his rhetoric against GERB, announcing that he would "squeeze them out". This had a double effect:
It allowed his party to appear more radical than all the protesters, without actually participating in the protests themselves.
It scared the state administration - GERB's core electorate - that it would be swept away. As a result, the officials clung even more tightly to Borisov and Peevski.
The same thing happened with the "skull card" - a means of instilling fear and consolidating the BCP electorate, used since the State Security.
ITN never left this model - constantly relied on radical but hollow rhetoric, because it has neither the capacity nor the desire to govern and make reforms. In this way, they managed to neutralize and tame the energy of the protests, while at the same time discrediting the real protesters.
We must admit that if people now do not believe the PPDB, then to a large extent this is the result of the successful work of the think tanks behind the scenes - through the project "There is such a people". Do you remember the hysteria around "Macedonia"? And today it is already clear that the "Petkov" cabinet made one of the right moves - it took Bulgaria out of the direct clash with the Republic of North Macedonia and directed them to negotiations with the European Commission. An exceptional diplomatic move.
But what does the ITN do during 95% of its time in parliament? It attacks the PPDB. And this has an impact – not only on their own chalga electorate, but also on many other people.
Today ITN has been reduced to its core – chalga fans. But even now it continues to trade its political influence. Peevski knows this very well – he needs their votes, he pays and gets them.
