Serbs attacked in Gelsenkirchen - 1

Albanian fans attacked Serbian fans in Gelsenkirchen, despite initial reports of a conflict between Serbs and Englishmen, Serbian media reported. A video appeared on the Internet, initially titled "fight between Englishmen and Serbs in Gelsenkirchen", but it turned out that this was not the case, reports BTA.
A group of Albanian fans, along with hooligans from Bosnia and Herzegovina and a few supporters of local club Schalke, ran into and attacked Serbian fans who were in a garden near a cafe.

Seconds later, other Serbs who were in the cafe came out to respond to the aggression. According to “Evening News” the Albanians fled the scene after the two groups had previously exchanged blows with chairs and other improvised objects. The policemen who arrived a little later had nothing to do.
According to the same Serbian newspaper, Partizan (Belgrade) fans, who are in Germany to support their country's national team, also clashed with Englishmen during the day, taking away several flags from small groups.

Other portals such as blic.rs report on injured Englishmen, and one of the victims was identified as a supporter of Birmingham City.

The match between England and Serbia is tonight at 22:00 Bulgarian time.
