The men's national team of Bulgaria recorded a third victory in the Volleyball League of Nations, Topsport reported.

In their first match of the third week of the tournament, the boys of head coach Gianlorenzo Blengini beat Turkey 3:1 (27:25, 25:20, 12:25, 25:22) game. In this way, the Bulgarians now have 8 points in their assets from three wins and six losses, continuing to occupy 14th place in the ranking. With 5 points (one win and eight losses), Turkey is in the penultimate 15th place in the standings.

The match in "Arena Stožice" in Ljubljana it started completely evenly, until 9:9 the long point streaks were missing. Turkey then took a 15:10 lead and our southern neighbors looked confident of winning the first game.

They reached two gameballs at 24:22, but Dimitar Dimitrov saved the Bulgarian team. First, the diagonal reflected the first opportunity in front of the Turks with an attack on the right from zone 2, and immediately after that he made an ace for 24:24.

The upswing in the game, which came from the good serve, also led to the winning of the first game, after Georgi Tatarov executed two excellent serves consecutively, which the Turks were never able to return to play, and after 27:25 the opening part went to Bulgaria's advantage.< br />
This gave the Nationals added confidence and they led the game throughout the second game. The Bulgarian team scored six consecutive points to lead 13:8, and the lead swelled to seven points at 21:14.

At the end of the game, the Turkish volleyball players showed signs of revival, but a block by Alex Grozdanov and Simeon Nikolov against the opponent's distributor also ended the second game - 25:20 for Bulgaria.

The serious advance clearly deconcentrated the Bulgarian team and in the third game he allowed a lot of marriage in his game. This allowed the Turks to win with 25:12 and send the match to the fourth game.

In it, the game was played point for point, but Turkey managed to take the lead with 21:19 after a successful block against Dimitar Dimitrov. This caused Blendzini to take a timeout and take out the diagonal, and Simeon Nikolov moved to his position. This clearly surprised the Turks, who conceded five points in a row to the Bulgarians, four of which were scored by Asparuh Asparuhov. At the end of the match, a successful attack through the center brought the 25th point to Bulgaria and with it the winning of the match.

Dimitrov was the top scorer for Bulgaria with 15 points. Asparuhov finished with 13 points, and center Alex Grozdanov finished with 12.

For Turkey, Ramazan Efe Manderači scored 16 points. Bulgaria's next match is on Thursday at 17:30 against Italy.
