FIFA has sanctioned Botev (Plovdiv) with a new ban on incoming transfers, which will apply to the next three transfer windows, reports gong.bg. The reason for the punishment is unresolved financial disputes with former players that the club has lost. We recall that the “yellow-black“ were already subject to a similar sanction, imposed on March 24, but then the management of Plovdiv reacted quickly and fixed the problem.
The Krumovgrad team is in an identical situation, which also received a ban for three transfer windows, but its sanction dates back to March 28. This is the second such punishment for the club, the first being on March 10.
FIFA has also taken disciplinary measures against several other Bulgarian clubs – the second division FC Lovech, as well as the Third League teams Bdin Vidin and Vereya.
