Gergana Topalova took the doubles title at the tennis tournament in Sao Paulo (Brazil), which has a prize fund of 30 thousand dollars, BTA reports. The Bulgarian and Anna Hertel (Poland) defeated Lillian Pauling (USA) and Carolina Martins (Brazil) in the final with 5:7, 6:1, 10:6 in 1:36 hours.
Topalova and Hertel dominated the second set completely to equalize the score. In the third part they led with 4:1 and 7:3, ending the match with their second match point.
The Bulgarian won the fifth doubles title in her career from the tournaments of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), but the first since 2023.
