Sony Group and Sony Honda Mobility announced the start of their cooperation with the Canadian Stingray Group. This cooperation will allow them to equip the electric vehicles they produce with advanced functions and a rather interesting extra.
For example, the AFEELA model, which will enter the market in 2025, will receive Stingray Group karaoke with a library of over 100,000 songs. The streaming service of Sony Pictures Entertainment's RIDEVU movie library will also be available.
The American video platform Crunchyroll has also decided to provide access to its video library. The company said that the presence of these functions in electric cars will make trips even brighter and more relaxed.
We will recall that the joint venture between Honda and Sony was established in 2022. The two companies are combining their experience in car manufacturing with their expertise in software and entertainment. The companies want to launch their first sedan in 2025, a crossover in 2027 and a compact city car in 2028.
The first model of this joint venture will be the AFEELA electric sedan. It is known that it will be equipped with a unique multimedia panel in the front of the car. The electric car will also receive a second-level autopilot.
