More than ten Tesla charging stations were set on fire in France - 1

In the city of Saint-Chamonix in southeastern France, 12 Tesla charging stations were set on fire in a supermarket parking lot. This was reported by Agence France-Presse. The fire completely destroyed two stations, while the others were seriously damaged, the agency also noted. The price of each of them reaches several tens of thousands of euros. According to AFP, a sign calling for a campaign against Tesla was found in the parking lot. An investigation is underway.

On March 30, AFP reported that more than 200 protests against Tesla and its CEO Elon Musk had taken place in the United States because the billionaire was funding anti-democratic political actions with the company's money. Organizers called the protests a "global day of action" and part of a campaign called "Destroy Tesla". In response to the protesters' actions, the businessman's supporters organized counter-protests.

The day before, seven Tesla cars burned down in Germany. The damage is estimated at hundreds of thousands of euros. It is not yet clear whether the fire is related to the global Tesla Takedown protest day, Spiegel notes.
