Nastimir Ananiev to FACTI: There are topics on which PP-DB cannot be in opposition (VIDEO) - 1

The vote of no confidence did not pass and this was expected. It was supported only by “Vazrazhdane“, MECH and “Velicie“ - 54 votes “for“, 150 votes against. “We continue the change” did not participate in the vote. Currently, PP-DB is in a rather awkward situation, because on the one hand they declare themselves to be in opposition, but on the other hand there are topics on which they cannot be in opposition. Boyko Borisov is in a very advantageous situation. Borisov is currently facing a “political buffet“, in which he can choose different majorities on different topics. When it comes to the European Union, European and Euro-Atlantic issues, for example, the eurozone, PP-DB cannot be against the cabinet on such issues. They will either have to vote “for“ or not participate, as they chose to do during the vote of no confidence. This was announced to Lili Marinkova in the “FACTI“ studio and the “Conversation“ program by Nastimir Ananiev, chairman of the VOLT party.

“On other issues, Borisov may find it convenient, for example, “Revival“. For certain bills “Revival“ can join, on a third topic, "The New Beginning" can join with support, which are officially not part of the ruling coalition, but under different conditions may support different policies, added Ananiev.

“As for Dogan's MRF, it is clear that they want positions. They want positions in the regulators, regional governors, deputy regional governors, they want to be in the second echelon of power. You know that deputy ministers are political appointees. In this sense, Dogan's MRF, as part of the coalition, it is normal to have such demands. The point is that Dogan's MRF currently seems very weak. They go public, complain, but nothing happens to them, they get nothing. If they get anything, it will be understood immediately. On the other hand, they pull out at the last moment. We have a saying that "a dog that barks does not bite". It is also heard that there is such tension in Dogan's MRF that perhaps there are MPs who are thinking of taking a step and resigning. If the APS coalition decides to leave the cabinet, it may split. Then their parliamentary group, which consists of 19 MPs, will split and half of the MPs will become independent, then the cabinet will have the option to use the votes of independent MPs,“ the guest also shared.
