According to what was reported by the SBU, it is about the modernized "Nebo-U" complex, with the help of which the Russian military tracked Ukrainian weapons and directed its bombers.
The $100 million radar system was hit by seven kamikaze drones. This was reported to RBC-Ukraine by SBU sources, who emphasized that the "Nebo-U" complex no longer functional and "probably turned into a colander".
Destroying the radar (if confirmed) would reduce Russia's ability to detect air targets along Ukraine's northern border, which should help the Ukrainian armed forces conduct reconnaissance, launch drones and make better use of the military's aviation in this area.
SBU sources told Ukrainian publications that this is the second "Nebo-U" complex destroyed by Ukrainian counterintelligence. The first was destroyed in the Belgorod region.
