Iran threatens the world: We will change our nuclear doctrine - 1

Iran may revise its "nuclear doctrine" amid Israeli threats. This was warned by a high-ranking commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, quoted by "Reuters".

His words raised concerns about Tehran's nuclear program, which the Islamic Republic has always maintained is purely for peaceful purposes.

"It is entirely possible to revise our nuclear doctrine and policy, as well as the considerations previously communicated,", noted Ahmad Hakhtalab, commander in charge of nuclear security.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has the final say on Tehran's nuclear program, which the West suspects is for military purposes.

Khamenei has repeatedly stressed that Tehran has never aimed to create or use nuclear weapons, something the country's religion forbids.

Iran launched its first direct attack on Israel last weekend in retaliation for an alleged Israeli strike on an Iranian diplomatic compound in the Syrian capital Damascus on April 1.

Israel has vowed to retaliate, and Iran has warned that its army is ready to face any attack.
