Flooding in recent days in the German state of Bavaria has affected voting in the European Parliament elections. Some polling stations were forced to move and information about lost election papers appeared, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
Bavaria's head of electoral authorities, Thomas Goessl, said that town halls in some flood-affected areas were still unusable, so temporary municipal administrations had been set up.
Local election officials say, however, that the elections in these areas can be held normally.
According to Goessl, voters who lost their voting papers due to the flooding or did not receive them should contact their local authorities promptly to obtain new ones.
