Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Vietnam, marking the last stop of his three-day diplomatic tour, TASS reported . Before his arrival in Vietnam, Putin had an important meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and a visit to the Russian Republic of Yakutia, reports BTA.
In Vietnam, Putin will participate in discussions with several senior officials, including the President of Vietnam, the General Secretary of the Communist Party, the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the National Assembly. In addition, Putin will reconnect with alumni from Soviet and Russian universities and will be honored at a reception by the president of Vietnam.
The visit to Vietnam marks Putin's fifth presidential visit to the country. He visited the republic in 2001, 2006, 2013 and 2017.
