China has announced sanctions against "Lockheed Martin", a US company, and its senior executives, including Chief Executive Officer James Donald Ticklett, over the company's involvement in arms sales to Taiwan, which China considers part of its territory, Reuters reported after a statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry, BTA reports.
The Chinese government has decided to freeze all assets belonging to the senior management of "Lockheed Martin" in China, which includes both movable and immovable property. In addition, these executives, including the company's leader, Tayclet, are banned from entering China.
This is not the first time China has imposed sanctions on American companies over their dealings with Taiwan.
"Lockheed Martin", known for its defense and aerospace products, has already faced similar measures for its role in supplying military equipment to Taiwan.
Beijing's position remains firm, viewing arms sales to Taiwan as a challenge to its claims to sovereignty over the island.
