The Russian military said today , that at night it destroyed 30 Ukrainian drones in the regions of the country bordering Ukraine. There is also one victim, reported France Press, quoted by BTA.
"At night, during the attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks with drones on the territory of the Russian Federation, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 29 drones in the Belgorod region and one drone in the Voronezh region," statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense published in Telegram.
"Unfortunately, a civilian was killed" in Belovskoye village of Belgorod region, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov added. The victim is "an elderly woman whose house was directly affected" from a drone.
Ukraine, which has faced a Russian offensive for more than two years, regularly retaliates by attacking Russian regions and especially Moscow's energy infrastructure. Kiev has promised to transfer the hostilities to Russian soil in response to the numerous bombings on its territory, AFP recalls.
