Katz accused Erdogan of openly supporting "Hezbollah" in its conflict with Israel.
"Erdogan is a war criminal who massacres innocent Kurds along the Syrian border and tries to deny Israel the right to self-defense against a terrorist organization that attacks from Lebanon on Iranian orders,” he wrote.
Katz condemned Erdogan's attempts to challenge Israel's right to defend itself against attacks organized by the Iranian-led Hezbollah.
President Erdogan has shown his support for Lebanon amid escalating tensions with Israel. During a broadcast on Turkish state television TRT, Erdogan not only expressed his solidarity, but also called on other nations in the region to stand by Lebanon. He launched a personal attack on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling him "mentally ill".
The sharp exchange between the leaders underscores the deepening rift and complex dynamics in the region, raising concerns about the potential for further escalation.
