Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko on his 30th anniversary as president. The telegram was published on the website of the Kremlin.

Putin emphasized Lukashenko's personal contribution to the development of friendly relations and cooperation between the Russian Federation and Belarus, the formation of the union state, as well as “promotion of mutually beneficial integration processes in the Eurasian space”.
