Tomahawk for Kiev: NATO called for missiles with a range of more than 5,000 km to be handed over to the Ukrainian army - 1

NATO Parliamentary Assembly passes resolution , calling for increased aid to Ukraine. The document, in particular, calls on the member states of the Alliance to transfer to Ukraine missiles with a range of 1,000 to 5,500 kilometers. The resolution also calls for Ukraine to be invited to the Alliance as soon as possible. This is reported by the Ukrainian "24 channel", referring to the People's Deputy and head of the Ukrainian delegation Yegor Chernev.

The resolution recommends "providing Ukraine with all means, in particular medium-range missiles, to defend and deter further aggression”.

As Chernev explained, we are talking about missiles capable of striking at a strategic depth (1000-5000 kilometers), for example, like the Tomahawk. The deputy explained that this paragraph in the resolution creates a legal basis for the decision of NATO member countries to transfer such missiles.

"The Ukrainian delegation managed to convince the Western colleagues to support my proposal and include this point in the resolution of the next session of the Assembly,”, he also noted.

In addition, the resolution expresses support for Volodymyr Zelensky's victory plan, his "formula for peace”, calls for increased "political and practical efforts” for the "earliest“ invitation of Ukraine to NATO and confirms the principle "nothing for Ukraine without Ukraine”.
