The Spanish Civil Guard detained three people suspected of involvement in hacking attacks against state agencies and strategic sectors of the kingdom and other NATO countries. This is stated in a statement by the law enforcement authorities.
According to their information, searches were carried out in the houses of the detainees. These are said to be denial-of-service attacks allegedly by the hacker group NoName057(16).
The attacks were directed “against government agencies and companies in strategic sectors of these countries“, which came out “in support of Ukraine in the context of“ conflict in this country. The suspects, whose nationality has not been specified, were detained in the Balearic Islands, Seville and Huelva.
