Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky expressed hope that Donald Trump will not end aid to Ukraine if he wins the US presidential election, UNIAN reported, as quoted by Focus.
At a press conference held as part of the fourth Ukraine-Northern Europe summit, Zelensky said he had not heard any indication from Trump about ending support for Ukraine. However, he emphasized that Kyiv is aware of the possible risks. Most significant among them would be a possible change in Washington's policy regarding the conflict.
"This is not just about supporting Ukraine. If that happens, it will be a big win for Putin and a big loss for the West, democracy and freedom. I don't think that Trump, if he becomes president, would want such an outcome,” said Zelensky.
