British Intelligence: What's next for North Korean soldiers in Ukraine? - 1

The North Korean soldiers Russia is recruiting for the war in Ukraine are likely to face a number of problems. This is the conclusion of a new report by the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom, a summary of which was published on the X social network, as cited by Focus.

Expected difficulties will be related to interoperability, as Russia and North Korea have so far not held joint military exercises, according to British intelligence.

"Pyongyang troops participating in combat operations will almost certainly have problems using Russian equipment, integrating into the Russian command and control structure, and overcoming the language barrier with Russian troops," the report said.

The British intelligence service notes that some of the North Korean troops in Russia have already been transferred to the Kursk region.

"For Moscow, North Korea's military support in the war against Ukraine is probably the main driver of the partnership. So far, cooperation between the two countries has focused on the supply of weapons from Pyongyang to Russia. At the same time, North Korea received high-level international support from Russia and found a trade partner willing to violate sanctions, the report also states.
