Israeli Air Force fighter jets attacked suspected targets of the Shiite Hezbollah organization in the central part of the Lebanese capital Beirut.
According to the Civil Defense Service, at least four rockets were fired in the area of El-Bosta el-Fawka.
„The strikes were inflicted on a residential building, there are casualties among civilians who are being taken away by ambulances”, the service said. “The building collapsed and blocked the road.“
The explosions went off in the morning in residential areas of Beirut.
Israeli planes remain in the skies over Beirut and fly over the city at low altitude.
At least 13 people were killed in the Gaza Strip after strikes by the Israeli army, Al Jazeera reported.
According to the Qatar channel, seven Palestinians were killed and several others were injured during an attack by the Israeli Defense Forces in Gaza City. At least three people were reported dead and 24 injured in the town of Khan Younis, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, which was bombed by Israeli planes.
Al Jazeera also reported the death of three people in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central part of the Palestinian enclave.
