The advancing Russian troops and the Ukrainian military continue to fight fierce battles in eastern Ukraine, said representatives of the Ukrainian army, quoted by DPA, writes BTA.
This morning, the Ukrainian General Staff in Kyiv reported that 194 attacks had been carried out since yesterday morning.
"The adversary is using its superiority in the number of troops and equipment and is constantly attacking our positions," the General Staff said.
44 attacks were carried out only in the area of the city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region, according to army data, but the DPA specifies that the information cannot be verified in detail.
36 Russian attacks were carried out near the town of Kurahovo. According to the information, there is likely to be an encirclement of Ukrainian forces south of the city, from which it will be difficult for them to withdraw.
The Ukrainian military blog "Deepstate" also spoke about the Russian advance near the village of Velika Novosilka in the southern part of the Donetsk region. There, the Ukrainians are losing territory that they had regained during the summer offensive in 2023.
