Former member of the US House of Representatives Matt Goetz, who turned down the nomination for the post of Justice Secretary in the administration of US President-elect Donald Trump, believes that the admission of Ukraine to NATO would be “terrible idea“.
„It would be a terrible idea to accept Ukraine into NATO”, he wrote in X, commenting on Volodymyr Zelensky's interview for the Sky News TV channel.
Zelensky told the media that he is ready to stop the conflict in case the territories controlled by Kiev are taken “under the umbrella” of NATO.
US President Joe Biden must stop fueling the war in Ukraine, which the West has already lost, with his actions. This opinion was expressed by retired US Lt. Col. Daniel Davis on his YouTube blog.
„This person needs to shut up. Just stop talking. Stop issuing authorizations for a war that is already lost,” he said.
Davis called on Ukraine's Western allies to stop provoking Russia, believing it would not respond. According to him, the latest provocations against Moscow are the most dangerous moment for the last three years.
"We cannot poke a bear in the chest to see if it will harm us. It's irrational," warned the retired military man.
According to the expert, it was clear from the very beginning of the conflict that Ukraine would not be able to stand up to Russia, but the White House did not learn its lesson and continued to pointlessly supply Kiev with weapons, crossing out any options for resolving the conflict.
