The biggest threat to NATO! Russia has handed over the first Su-35 fighters to the Iranian army - 1

On November 18, during a ceremony held on the territory of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aircraft plant, the first two Su-35 (Su-35SE) aircraft were officially transferred to Iran. This is reported by the German publication Flug Revue, dedicated to the aerospace theme.

After the handover, the fighters were disassembled and transported by An-124 transport aircraft to Mehrabad Airport in Tehran, from where they were to be delivered to the Islamic Republic Air Force Base in Hamadan.

According to Flug Revue, 25 fighters were originally planned to be ordered to replace some of the F-14s at Iran's Isfahan Air Force Base, but the Su-35 order was then increased to 50 aircraft. They are now expected to replace the very old F-4s at the Hamadan base.

Rumors about the transfer of the first Su-35 to Iran have been circulating for a long time, but evidence for this has not been presented. It was also reported that in addition to the Su-35, Moscow will transfer to Tehran Mi-28 attack helicopters and Yak-130 training aircraft.

The Su-35 is a fourth-generation Russian multirole fighter that made its first flight on February 19, 2008. It is based on the Soviet Su-27.

According to a number of experts, the Su-35 is the most powerful Russian fighter, not counting the Su-57, which is built in scarce quantities.

The publication National Interest identified the Su-35 as the first in the list of the most dangerous weapons of the Russian Federation in a hypothetical conflict with the United States. It is also considered "extremely dangerous" for any NATO aircraft.

Among the main advantages of the Su-35 is the possibility of using the R-37M air-to-air missile, which, according to Russian data, has a range of 300 km. Other carriers of these weapons are the MiG-31BM and Su-30SM2.

Among the shortcomings of the Su-35 is the lack of stealth technology, and the radar station is not of the latest type.
