A powerful wildfire fanned by strong winds has forced several thousand people into Malibu to evacuate, NOVA reported.
The fire ignited on Tuesday northwest of Los Angeles and quickly grew from two to more than a thousand hectares. So far, the fire has destroyed a small number of houses, but luckily there have been no injuries or deaths. The storm knocked out power and closed roads in many parts of Malibu and threatened dozens of residential buildings.
"This is an area of ill repute. Winds down Malibu Canyon like a torch. So he's in danger every time there's a fire there. It's a beautiful area, but with all the trees and landscaping, it's very dangerous," explained Malibu resident Fred Roberts.
