The Military Intelligence Service of Ukraine (GUR) reported that over the past weekend at least 30 North Korean soldiers fighting on the side of the Russian army were killed or wounded in the partially occupied Russian Kursk region. According to the information provided via the "Telegram" platform, this happened on Saturday and Sunday and is "significant losses" for the North Korean units, BTA reports.
These military losses are related to the sending of several thousand North Korean soldiers to Russia in recent weeks to support Russian forces in the conflict in Ukraine. Western sources have confirmed that North Korea has sent fighters to assist Russia in the current war, but the Kremlin has avoided public statements on the subject.
