Marine Le Pen prepares for early presidential elections in France - 1

Marine Le Pen, the leader of the French far-right and a long-time opponent of President Emmanuel Macron, announced that she is starting preparations for possible early presidential elections, BTA reports.

In an interview with the newspaper “Parisien“, she said:

"I am preparing for early presidential elections because Macron is unstable and he does not have many institutional levers left."

According to her, President Emmanuel Macron is exhausted and near the end of his administration.

Le Pen as the main contender for the presidency

Marine Le Pen has established herself as the leading contender for the presidency of France, having twice faced Macron in the 2017 and 2022 elections, reaching the second round. She has intensified her political campaign, highlighting the shortcomings of Macron's administration and the uncertainty surrounding the current president.

Reaction from the Elysee Palace

President Macron categorically denied rumors of a possible resignation before the end of his term, which ends in 2027. The Elysee Palace said:
"The president has already made it clear on this issue."

Macron has repeatedly stressed that he intends to complete his term and implement the reforms he has set out, despite political tensions.

Political context

Le Pen's statements come at a time of heightened public tension and polarization in France. More recently, her party has stepped up its criticism of Macron's rule, using issues such as economic hardship, social unrest, and migration to drum up support.

Whether early elections will be called in France remains a matter of political development and institutional stability. However, Marine Le Pen continues to consolidate her position as Macron's leading opponent and a major contender for the next presidential term.
