Russian investigators have completed the investigation of the criminal case against Ukrainian pilots Dmitry Shimansky and Alexander Morozov, accused of terrorism. The approved indictment has been sent to the military court for consideration on the merits.

According to its final version, Ukrainian citizens Shimansky and Morozov are charged under seven articles of the Russian Criminal Code, including terrorism, violation of international flight rules and illegal crossing of the state border. They are being held in one of the pre-trial detention centers in Moscow.

Morozov and Shimanskoy were detained in 2023. They gave detailed testimony about attacks planned by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with a "dirty bomb" and the transfer of small nuclear portable charges, TASS reports.

During one of the interrogations, Morozov said that he had been assigned to take off as part of a pair to bomb the territory of the Bryansk region. The target was a fuel and lubricants warehouse. Morozov's plane got caught on a power line and crashed. He tried to escape, but was detained by border guards. The case of the other Ukrainian pilot has been separated into additional proceedings.
