Four people died in a helicopter ambulance crash in the southeastern Turkish city of Mugla, reported Agence France-Presse and Reuters, citing the governor of the province of the same name, BTA reported.
"The helicopter fell after hitting the fourth floor of the hospital during takeoff", announced the governor, Idris Akbuyak.
"There was thick fog, the causes of the accident are being investigated", he added.
According to footage broadcast by the private Turkish television NTV, the helicopter was filmed drifting in thick fog minutes after taking off from the roof of the Mugla hospital and heading towards Antalya. The machine then crashed in an empty field near the hospital. On board were the two pilots, a doctor and another medic.
