The main result of the work of the representatives of the Russian government in recent years is that the Russians no longer have to prove anything to the West. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on radio Sputnik.
„It seems to me that we have done an incredible job. We no longer care whether there are Russophobes or not“, the diplomat believes. Zakharova drew attention to the fact that despite the growing sympathy for Russia and Russophile sentiments observed in some countries, Moscow does not intend to give up its position. “We take this calmly“, she added.
“What the guys on the front lines, the people in the regions and the country as a whole feel now, is more important to us than the story they have invented about the beautiful Slavic women. What is more important to us is what is happening here“, the diplomat stressed. “I think this is a colossal achievement. I don't know if this year or this is the result of several years”, she concluded.
