US police have arrested a man who climbed over the fence at the Mar-a-Lago estate of US President Donald Trump in Florida, Fox News reported.
The incident occurred on Tuesday. Local police and Secret Service agents arrested 32-year-old Bijan Arceo. He is charged with trespassing with intent to commit a crime.
“We take this incident extremely seriously. This arrest was made locally and we are grateful to the Palm Beach Police Department for their quick response and cooperation“, the Secret Service told television.
Trump has survived two assassination attempts in the past year. The first occurred at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania in July 2024, when a sniper shot a politician in the ear. The second time, a gunman opened fire near Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence.
