US President Donald Trump said that he has a very good relationship with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and that Starmer is "doing very well so far", PA Media and DPA reported.
Aboard the presidential plane "Air Force One" Trump told the BBC that he would have a phone call with the British leader soon.
"I get along well with him, I like him a lot. He's a liberal, which is a little different than me, but I think he's a very good person and he's done a great job so far," Trump explained.
"I may not agree with his philosophy, but I have a very good relationship with him," the American president also said.
Donald Trump said that one of the potential destinations for his first foreign trip of his second presidential term is the United Kingdom.
"It could be Saudi Arabia, it could be the United Kingdom. "Traditionally, it's the UK," he told the BBC.
Keir Starmer's most recent meeting with Trump was in New York during the US presidential election campaign last year.
The two spoke by phone after Trump won the election.
After Trump's inauguration on January 20, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy indicated that Starmer could visit Washington within weeks.
