Pope Francis has bronchitis - 1

Pope Francis has been diagnosed with bronchitis but does not intend to cancel his planned meetings for the coming days, the Vatican said, quoted by Reuters, BTA reported.

They will take place at the Vatican residence, where he lives. Yesterday, in front of the pilgrims who came for his weekly general audience, the pope announced that he has a "bad cold".

The 88-year-old Francis, who has been pope since 2013, has been sick with the flu several times in the past two years and has suffered from other health problems. In the past two months, the pope has fallen twice in his Vatican residence. In one of the falls in December, he injured his beard, and in the other - last month - he sprained his hand.

He has no scheduled engagements for tomorrow. On Saturday, the Pope is scheduled to meet with military personnel from around the world who will arrive in Rome to celebrate the Catholic Holy (Jubilee) Year.
