Chinese President Xi Jinping has accepted Russia's invitation to participate in the celebrations on May 9 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory in World War II, Reuters reported, citing an official statement quoted by TASS, BTA reports.
The information was provided by Russian Ambassador to Moscow Igor Morgulov on the air of the "Russia 24" television channel ("Russia-24").
"President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping accepted the invitation to take part in the celebrations on May 9 in Moscow on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and in turn invited (Russian President) Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to China for the celebration, which is planned for early September," Morgulov said.
