European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will meet US Vice President JD Vance on Tuesday, February 11, in Paris as part of the AI Action Summit. This was announced by European Commission spokesman Stefan de Keersmaeker at a briefing in Brussels, „Evropeyskaya Pravda“ and Focus reported.

Von der Leyen will take part in the two-day forum, which is taking place on February 10-11 in the French capital. According to official information, she will discuss with Vance issues related to the development and regulation of artificial intelligence.

After her meeting on Tuesday afternoon, von der Leyen will travel to Strasbourg, where she will participate in a meeting of the College of European Commissioners.

On Wednesday, February 12, she will meet in Brussels with European Council President António Costa and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Later in the week, on Friday, February 14, von der Leyen will take part in the Munich Security Conference in Germany, where issues of global stability and transatlantic relations will be discussed.

Meanwhile, the European Union is looking for ways to quickly start negotiations with the United States on the tariffs planned by President Donald Trump. Von der Leyen stressed that the EU is ready for difficult talks with the US.

The EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaia Kallas, warned that a possible “trade war” between the US and Europe would be detrimental to both sides.
