Units of the Ukrainian army hit the Saratov oil refinery in Russia tonight, Ukrinform reported, citing a statement by the General Staff of the Ukrainian army on “Facebook“, writes BTA.
The refinery produces over 20 types of gas and oil products and diesel and plays an important role in the supplies of the Russian army.
The General Staff also claims that a fire broke out after the strike, but specified that the damage is still being assessed.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military group “Khortytsia“ published a video on the messaging app Telegram that it claims shows Ukrainian drones striking three long-range Russian artillery guns of the Hyacinth B type in the Kharkiv region.
“The Phoenix Border Operations Drone Unit in the Kharkiv region attacked three Russian long-range Hyacinth B guns. The Phoenix drone operators disabled the guns by burning holes in their casing.
With such damage, the gun cannot fire and its casing needs to be replaced - a component that is in short supply. This significantly reduces the capabilities of the Russian artillery in the Kharkiv region,“ the statement said.
