Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni visited Pope Francis in hospital today and said the Holy Father was “vigorous and responsive“, full of good spirits, despite a diagnosis of pneumonia, reports the Associated Press, BTA reports.
“We joked, as always. He has not lost his proverbial sense of humor,“ Meloni said.
She is the first outside visitor, outside of his secretaries and medical staff, known to have been to the pope since his hospitalization on Friday.
