Russia may withdraw from negotiations with the US - 1

Russia may withdraw from negotiations with the US and only then will Donald Trump understand that the federation is not as peaceful and open to dialogue as he thinks.

This was stated to FREEDOM TV by Yevgeny Kostogryzov, an analyst at the Foreign Policy Council “Ukrainian Prism“.

US President Donald Trump's approach to the Russian-Ukrainian war is based on pragmatism and skepticism about the Kremlin's aggressive intentions, believes Kostogryzov, according to whom Trump does not believe that Putin will seize all of Ukraine.

„Donald Trump does not believe that Putin will seize all of Ukraine, he does not believe that this is his real "target," the analyst said. "Trump needs to be convinced that the Russians are not as negotiating and peace-loving as he thinks or would like to think. Unfortunately, the only country capable of proving this to Trump is the Russian Federation itself. For example, by violating signed agreements or withdrawing from the negotiation process," he commented.

At the same time, Trump is considering a strategy for "quick peace through force." If Russia does not show flexibility in the negotiations, the American leader will use all available methods of pressure.

Trump thinks that Russia will comply with all the agreements it has signed [in a future agreement], but with his invasion of Ukraine, Vladimir Putin violated a number of international treaties and agreements, including the Budapest Memorandum (from 1994).

The full-scale war that Putin started against Ukraine has already been going on for three years. In recent days, relations between Kiev and Washington have escalated, with Trump even calling Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a "dictator" who is responsible for the war.

The heated exchange between Trump and Zelensky demonstrates how much has changed since the new president took office in Washington, writes the “New York Times“, quoted by BTA. The US president's claims caused shock and surprise on both sides of the Atlantic. Trump's attacks on Zelensky have caused outrage among European leaders, Democrats in Washington and even among some Republicans, the newspaper commented.
