The Russian armed forces continue their offensive, with group "Vostok" breaking through the Ukrainian army's defense lines in several areas, the Russian Defense Ministry reported, quoted by Interfax, reports Focus.
Offensive by group "Vostok" and other military units
According to official data:
- Group "Vostok" hit Ukrainian army personnel and equipment in the areas of Bogatyr, Komar, Novocheretovatoye, Burlatskoye and Novosilka, destroying 155 servicemen, combat equipment and artillery installations.
- Group "West" defeated Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, causing losses of 180 servicemen and destroying artillery guns and ammunition depots.
- Group "Center" attacked Ukrainian positions in the Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions, eliminating up to 280 servicemen, combat vehicles and artillery pieces.
- Group "South" occupied more favorable positions, destroying 175 Ukrainian servicemen and military equipment.
- Group "Dnipro" attacked Ukrainian formations in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, where the Ukrainian army lost 90 soldiers, equipment and ammunition depots.
- Group "North" struck Ukrainian forces in the Kharkiv direction, eliminating 45 servicemen, equipment and artillery pieces.
Strategic infrastructure strikes
The Russian ministry also reported that last night a massive strike was carried out on objects of Ukraine's gas and energy infrastructure, which, according to Moscow, support the country's military-industrial complex.
"The goal of the strike was achieved. All objects were hit," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
In addition, Russian forces shot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet, 112 drones, as well as several guided aerial bombs and HIMARS missiles.
The ministry added that operational-tactical aviation, drones, missile troops and artillery hit 163 Ukrainian military facilities, including airfields, ammunition depots and drone training bases.
