Russia sees no reason to resume dialogue with Europe for now, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, hours after the European Union adopted its sixteenth package of sanctions against Moscow in connection with the war in Ukraine, Reuters and BTA reported.
Peskov said, quoted by Agence France-Presse, that Russia is ready to find a solution to the Ukrainian conflict through dialogue with the United States, while at the same time accusing Europe of continuing to follow a hostile line.
"The Europeans are continuing on the same path and are convinced of the need to continue the war," Peskov said. "This conviction of the Europeans is in stark contrast to the drive to find a solution for Ukraine that we are currently pursuing with the United States," he added, in the context of the third anniversary of Russia's attack on the neighboring country.
